Curly Kale Walking Tour with “Bosseln”

Do you enjoy spending time being active outdoors?
Get to know a very special Northern German tradition!

Date: February 4th, 2022
Meeting point: In front of the Restaurant “Grüner Jäger”, Ebertallee 50, 38104 Braunschweig
Time: 2 p.m., the walk will take about 3 hours
Early dinner: 5 p.m. at the restaurant “Grüner Jäger” in Riddagshausen

The game: Two teams with the same number of players are formed. One team has a red and one team a yellow ball. Similar to bowling, the teams try to throw the “Bossel”-ball as far as possible along the course. From where it lands, the next player will take a turn and throw the ball – all the way to our destination. The team with the fewest throws wins.

During the walk, you’ll share snacks and drink Schnaps or mulled wine. Please bring schnaps or mulled wine to share with the others as the good old tradition requires!

At the Grüner Jäger, you can try the typical green cabbage (called “Braunkohl” here in Braunschweig), which is eaten only in winter together with boiled potatoes and “Bregenwurst” (a special sausage) and “Kassler” (lean pork with a smoky taste).

Of course, you can also order something else from their menu, but in this case, please send me an extra notice with your confirmation mail, thanks.
