We are an association made by women for women and their families. The IWA-BS consists of around 125 women from 25 countries. We are a non-governmental, non-denominational and non-profit association that is run exclusively on a voluntary basis.

We offer a platform for social contacts, networking and a variety of activities, as well as support for those who have either moved to the Braunschweig region from abroad or in Germany or are returning after a stay in a "foreign country".

Our members are multi-lingual, from diverse backgrounds, open-minded, active, interested, and always on the move.
WE OFFER
… participate in regular, informal activities to get to know each other and make contacts.
We also organize various groups, the so-called “interest groups”, in which we give our members the opportunity to be active according to their interests and to get to know other like-minded people. These include, for example
- Conversation groups (English, German, Spanish)
- Literary circle (English, German)
- Painting
- Welcome Circle with Happy Hour (new people at IWA get to know new people, first aid for life in Braunschweig)
- Other activities: city tours, couples' evening, multicultural cooking experiences, art exhibitions, social gatherings.
